Waratah Beach SLSC offers a range of training courses and qualifications. Attendees must be current members unless otherwise specified.
Many courses have prerequisites and some provide nationally recognised units.
AQUATIC RECUE:
- Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)

- Silver Medallion Aquatic Rescue (SMAR)

POWERCRAFT:
- Side-By-Side Vehicle Operator Certificate (SSV)
- Inflatable Rescue Boat Crew (IRBC)
- Inflatable Rescue Boat Driver (IRBD)
FIRST AID & EMERGENCY CARE:
- Resuscitation (CPR)
- Basic Emergency Life Support (BELS)
- First Aid (FA)
- Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (ART)
STATEWIDE SERVICES:
- Training Officer Certificate (TOC)
- Assessor Certificate (ASC)
- Pain Management (PAIN)
- Rescue Water Craft Operator Certificate (RWC)
SKILLS MAINTENANCE (REQUALS)
To remain eligible to patrol and compete, members must requalify annually. Awards expire on 31 December each year. A four-year grace period applies; beyond that, awards must be retaken in full.
